Meet the potter

Tina
Smith

My clay journey started around six years ago at 22nd St Clay, and I was instantly captivated. My fascination with clay has driven me to continually learn and explore its many facets.  I'm driven to craft and love getting my hands muddy with clay.

For the past three years, teaching pottery at 22nd St Clay has brought me immense joy and satisfaction. Guiding students to transform their creative ideas into tangible works of art is an incredibly fulfilling experience. I look forward to many more years of sharing this artistic journey with our vibrant community.

Outside of the studio, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, tending to blooming flowers, and lakeside camping adventures. Originally hailing from Louisville, CO, I've cherished my seven years in Colorado Springs, where the breathtaking natural landscapes and the thriving artistic community serve as constant sources of inspiration that enrich my daily life.

“This place is pretty awesome. I don't personally take classes there but set my wife up with an 8 week class and she loves it. She's since started another 8 weeks of classes. After hearing her talk about the experience and seeing what she has learned I would highly recommend this place to all skill levels.” — Hunter T.

“I love 22nd Street Clay! Denise has created a no-judgement, out of the box, and fun atmosphere! I started taking classes over a year ago and have not stopped since.
